National Lacrosse League (NLL) – The Toronto Rock defeated the New England Black Wolves 18-10 in the Eastern Division playoff to advance to play the Georgia Swarm in the best-of-three Division final.  The Colorado Mammoths never trailed in their West Division playoff against the Vancouver Stealth and held on for a 13-12 win.  The Mammoths will face the Saskatchewan Rush in the Division final.

Major League Lacrosse (MLL) – Rochester Rattlers goalie John Galloway was named Defensive Player of the Week.  Galloway made 16 saves, including four in the fourth quarter and two in overtime in the Rattlers’ 12-11 win over the Ohio Machine.

Arena Football League (AFL) – The Philadelphia Soul (4-0) remained undefeated when they edged the Cleveland Gladiators (1-4) by a score of 69-67 in front of 10,389 fans in Cleveland.  The Gladiators closed within 69-61 late in the game and then recovered the onside kick.  The Gladiators scored on a 4-yard touchdown by Aslam Sterling but the two-point conversion attempt was turned away by the Soul as time ran out.

National Arena League (NAL) – Jacksonville Sharks Kicker Nick Belcher is the Special Teams Player of the Week – his third of the season.  Belcher was successful on 8 of 9 extra points in the Sharks’ 71-6 blasting of the Corpus Christi Rage.  The Sharks remain undefeated at 7-0.

Indoor Football League (IFL) – In a rematch of the 2016 United Bowl last season, the Sioux Falls Storm (9-1) throttled the Spokane Empire (7-3), 62-32, in Sioux Falls last weekend.  Lorenzo Brown completed four of eight passes for 49 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, he also rushed 17 times for 70 yards and three scores. Robbie Rouse had eight rushes for 31 yards. Eric Shufford scored on both of his rushing attempts. Jared Elmore caught three passes for 38 yards. Knight tallied 8.5 total tackles and 1.5 sacks to go along with his interception. Carlton Watkins also had an interception for the Storm.

Champions Indoor Football League (CIFL) – The Bloomington Edge (6-3) won a thriller against Western Michigan (3-6) on Saturday night outscoring the Ironmen 68-67. It was the Edge’s special teams that made the difference in the third game between these two teams this season. Defensive back Mitch Moore returned two kicks for touchdowns, and defensive end Kyle Jenkins blocked an extra point in the final minute of the game.

Arena Pro Football (APF) – The Richmond Rough Riders (5-0) defeated the Florida Tarpons (3-1) in a clash of the unbeaten teams.  The Rough Riders won the game 55-34.  Richmond scored on every possession for the first three quarters and shutout the Tarpons in the second quarter to take the lead and cruised to the win.

Supreme Indoor Football (SIF) – The Cape Fear Heroes have added a pair of former major-college performers to their roster for Saturday’s scheduled Supreme Indoor Football game against the Cap City Bulls. The Heroes (3-0) have signed ex-Penn State quarterback Daryll Clark and former Tennessee offensive lineman Marques Pair for the 7:30 p.m. game at the Crown Coliseum against the Bulls (3-0).

CAN-AM Indoor Football League (CAN-AM) – The Vermont Bucks (6-1) lead the Eastern Division and the Rochester Kings (4-0) are atop the Western Division.  The Bucks lost their first of the season to the Boston Blaze, 41-30.  Rochester was awarded a win over the Ontario Niagara Spartans 2-0.

Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) –  The Boston Renegades (4-0) shutout the DC Divas 26-0 in Division 1.  The Montreal Blitz (3-1) destroyed the Connecticut Hawks 64-10 in Division 2.  The Toledo Reign (3-1) had the week off and will play at Chicago this weekend against the undefeated Force.

National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) – The North Carolina Courage continue to leave the league with 12 points.  In their last game, the Courage edged the Boston Breakers 1-0 on a record-breaking goal by Jessica McDonald in the first half.  McDonald now has 33 goals in NWSL history.
Central Basketball Association (CBA) – Bowling Green defeated Illinois 91-82 to clinch the final postseason playoff spot.  Bowling Green was led by Monte Burney with 28 points followed by Deavis Johnson with 21.  The postseason tournament will be played this weekend in Danville, Illinois.  Bowling Green will play Fort Wayne in one semifinal while Indianapolis will play Mississippi in the other semifinal match up.  The winners will play for the title on Sunday afternoon.
BIG3 Basketball League (BIG3) – A new league will begin play in June with former NBA stars competing in 3-on-3 games which will tour the United States for eight weeks.  The game will be played on half-court with 3-point and 4-point opportunities.  Teams will play to 60 points.  Former NBA players Allen Iverson, Chauncey Billups, Jermaine O’Neal and many others will lead fantasy-like teams such as:  3’s Company, Killer 3s, Tri-State, 3-Headed Monsters, Trilogy, Ghost Ballers, Ball Hogs and Power.  The league will debut on June 25th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
